All you need to know before you schedule a lesson
-
How do I pay for the lessons?Payment is to be made via bank transfer. Funds should be received no later than 24 hours before the lesson starts to avoid any cancellations.
-
What if I want to cancel any future tuition? As much as we wouldn't want to lose you, we understand that circumstances can be such that you can no longer continue. We just ask that you let us know as soon as you have made your decision to cease the lessons.
-
Are the lessons only bookable in 1 hour slots? The simple answer, no! At Tuition with Mandy we are aware that all pupils are different. Some pupils have a high stamina for learning and others do not. We have many parents whose children have one-to-one sessions for 45 minutes and those are charged at £15. Similarly, younger children who are working on their phonics can only manage 30 minutes, and those are charged at £10. Some of our GCSE students are working in 90 minute blocks, and the cost is adapted to £30 for those 90 minutes. All group prices are agreed in much the same way.
-
What if we can't make the lesson? At Tuition with Mandy we understand that life happens and plans change. We just ask that you let us know as soon as you become aware of the fact.
-
Are resources provided? If required, the resources for a lesson will be emailed over in advance of the session. However, most of the resources will be shared via the video meeting screen.
-
How are the lessons delivered?Tuition with Mandy lessons are delivered online via Zoom video call. You will be sent the details to log in to the lesson the day before.
-
Are your lessons online for both primary and seconday education?Yes. Tuition with Mandy has successfully merged into online tutoring. Pupils from primary education and secondary education are working favourably with their tutor in online sessions and successfully returning homework via online services.
-
Will there be homework?Yes - but not always! Homework will be set for the pupils. This will be sent via email with full details on how and when to return the work.
